Sauteed shiitake mushroom with peas

The hidden ingredient in this dish is the garlic oil, which is easy to make -- see our Garlic Confit recipe. The garlic oil really brings out the natural flavor in the Shiitake mushroom. The peas adds balance to the dish. This is a quick and easy side you can quickly whip up for dinner.



1 tsp (5g) garlic oil
½ cup (73g) shiitake mushroom, fresh
½ cup (43g) green pea, frozen
tsp (1g) salt


  1. On medium-high heat, heat the garlic oil in a saute pan.
  2. Add the Shiitake mushrooms, and cook for about 1 minute.
  3. Add salt and peas and cook for another 1 minute or two.
  4. Enjoy immediately.
