This is a basic royal icing recipe that you can use for icing cookies. It's quite thick, so you can thin out the icing to the consistency you need.
1kg powdered sugar, sifted
50g dry egg white powder
5g cream of tartar
55ml fresh lemon juice, strained
110ml tap water
1tbsp vanilla extract
You'll need an electric mixer, but you can do it by hand as well.
