Diets like Engine 2 and others specify no added oil, and this fits the bill perfectly while provide the perfect chip for salsa, hummus and other delicious dips.

INGREDIENTS

1 whole grain tortilla, made from sprouted wheat berries, corn or a combination of grains

INSTRUCTIONS

Using a long chef's knife, cut the tortilla into pie pieces, with the wide end of each pie segment about two inches wide.

Stack up the segments and cut it again into two stacks of triangular chips.

Spread the chips evenly on a heat-resistant baking sheet such as a stainless steel sheet, bare aluminum sheet, pizza stone, or thick aluminum foil; non-stick sheets may not be able to handle the broiler heat.

Set your oven's broiler to high and set a timer for 1 minute. Check after 1 minute and continue observing until lightly browned. Remove immediately as even a few seconds too long will result in smoking chips.

Using a thin spatula, remove the chips from the sheet and place gently into a serving container. Serve immediately for warm chips, or save them for later!
